This ring features opaque green opal from Madagascar’s volcanic landscapes. The unique green shade comes from tiny amounts of iron and/or nickel that naturally colors the stone. Unlike the flashy opals many are used to seeing in jewelry, this one has a soft, earthy look and a smooth, almost waxy finish. This green opal has small flecks of iron and manganese oxide throughout, resulting in some brown and black flecks seen throughout. These natural inclusions ensure each ring is one of a kind.
